Property enlistments in the Mumbai housing market became by over 16% to contact 12,160 in July 2024 from 10,221 a year sooner, as per the information shared by the Monitor General of Enrollment and Regulator of Stamps of Maharashtra. In June 2024, a sum of 11,673 property enrollments were accounted for in the Mumbai housing market.



Stamp obligation assortments from property enlistments in the Mumbai housing market went up by more than 27% to 1,055 crore in July 2024 from ₹832 crore last year during a similar period. In June 2024, the stamp obligation assortments remained at ₹1,014 crore, the information showed.

Out of the all out property enrollments on month to month premise in Mumbai, private units comprise generally around 80%, as per sectoral gauges.

Properties up to 1,000 sq ft keep on driving in enlistments

In June 2024, there was an expansion in the enlistment of lofts estimating between 500 sq ft and 1,000 sq ft, representing 46% of all property enrollments. Conversely, condos comparing 500 sq ft made up 36% of the enlistments, down from 41% in June 2023.

This shows a tendency towards bigger lofts, with the portion of units up to 500 sq ft seeing a decay. Condos estimating 1,000 sq ft or more contained 15% of the absolute enrollments, Knight Forthright India said in its report.

Up to 1,000 sq ft section keeps on overwhelming

In July 2024, there was an expansion in the enlistment of lofts estimating between 500 sq ft and 1,000 sq ft, representing 49% of all property enrollments. Further, condos up to 500 sq ft made up 33% of the enrollments, down from 38% in July 2023, showing a shift towards bigger lofts, Knight Honest India, a land consultancy firm said in its report.

Western suburb and Focal suburb record to 73% of the complete portion of the overall industry

As per the report, the portion of property enlistments in Mumbai's western rural areas dropped from 57% in July 2023 to half in July 2024. The focal rural areas saw a critical increment, ascending from 29% in July 2023 to 41% in July 2024.

From January to July 2024, the city recorded 84,653 property enlistments, denoting a 16% expansion from 72,713 enrollments in a similar period in 2023, and created ₹6,929 crore in income, up by 7% from ₹6,452 crore last year, Knight Candid India report said.


"The ceaseless year-on-year development in property deal enrollments highlights the flexibility of Mumbai's housing market. This positive pattern is supposed to persevere, driven areas of strength for by development, rising pay levels, and an ideal loan cost climate, making an uplifting air for possible purchasers," said Shishir Baijal, executive and overseeing chief, Knight Honest India.
