As the much-anticipated inauguration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya approaches, Vi (Vodafone Idea) gears up to provide uninterrupted connectivity for the massive gathering expected on January 22. With an influx of devotees anticipated, Vi has ramped up its network capacity in Ayodhya to ensure a seamless digital experience during this historic event.

Vi's preparations include doubling network capacity to handle nearly twice the usual volume of network traffic, both within the temple precincts and surrounding areas. This proactive approach stems from predictive analysis by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT), leveraging AI and ML, to anticipate the surge in visitors. Vi plans to deploy additional mobile towers and cells on wheels (COW) to maintain robust network coverage, estimated to require around 90-91 extra mobile sites.

The DoT has set up a dedicated war room in Ayodhya to monitor and coordinate telecom activities, allowing quick adjustments to mobile tower positions based on crowd movements. This strategic coordination aims to offer uninterrupted digital connectivity to the millions expected to participate in this historic event.

Anand Dani, Vi's Cluster Business Head, highlights this network enhancement as part of Vi's commitment to delivering world-class digital experiences. Vi's recent upgrade of network capacity in South Karnataka further underscores their dedication to providing superior network services.

As Ayodhya readies itself with improved infrastructure, Vi's network enhancements play a vital role in meeting the digital connectivity needs of this significant religious and cultural milestone.
